Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson says Pep Guardiola told him there is “no chance” he will become Brazil’s next national team boss.

The Selecao are currently without a manager after Tite vacated his head coach role following the team’s World Cup quarter-final defeat to Croatia.

Under-20s coach Ramon Menezes has been named as caretaker boss until an appointment is made. Ederson has been selected for this week’s internationals and is due to start against Morocco with Alisson not in the squad.

A number of Premier League stars have been left out with Menezes saying he is keen for new players to be given opportunities. ALSO READ: Bernardo Silva has reminded Man City of top summer transfer priority The topic of the team’s next manager was central to Brazil’s latest press conference.
