Refereeing body the PGMOL says it was “appalled” by videos showing Anthony Taylor being harassed by Roma fans at Budapest Airport following the Europa League final.
Taylor was the referee for Wednesday’s game, which Sevilla won on penalties following a 1-1 draw. Ad Roma coach Jose Mourinho was vocal in his complaints about the officiating afterwards and he was even caught on camera insulting the Englishman and calling him a “disgrace” in the car park at the Puskas Arena.

We will continue to provide our full support to Anthony and his family." Taylor faced a difficult task in Budapest as he dished out 14 yellow cards to players, unused substitutes and coaches in a fraught final that required 25 minutes of added time.
