Steve Clarke says he and his players are feeling the love ahead of another massive Euro 2024 qualifier against Georgia. But the characteristically understated boss isn't letting himself get swept up in the hype as the country buzzes about the prospect of a second straight Euros.
Scotland have flown out of the blocks in Group A, beating Cyprus and Spain before a massive victory in Oslo on Saturday. A win over Georgia at Hampden on Tuesday night would leave us with a 100 per cent record at the half way stage and with one foot on the plane to Germany next summer.
The excitement about a second Euros on the spin is palpable after more than 20 years without a major tournament and Clarke says it's nice to feel the love.
But he's not letting himself, or his players, get carried away. Clarke said: "I am the guy in charge so they are not going to get too excited.
