Vince McMahon has retired from WWE in the biggest wrestling news story ever, and Brock Lesnar is reportedly rather unhappy about it all.
McMahon tweeted this evening confirming that, after 40 years in charge of WWE, he was retiring from the company. He will remain a majority shareholder but has stepped back from his roles as Chairman, CEO and Head of Creative.
Taking over as Chairwoman is Stephanie McMahon, Vince’s daughter. She will also serve as the co-CEO alongside Nick Khan. Vince’s announcement was made on Twitter, which you can check out below.
At 77, time for me to retire. Thank you, WWE Universe. Then. Now. Forever. Together. #WWE #thankful This is the biggest change that WWE has undergone since Vince took over in 1982, and the company will never be the same again.
