Khabib Nurmagomedov is both a former UFC world champion and a massive Manchester United fan. Many supporters will remember his trip to Old Trafford last season where he was videoed talking to legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

In the video, Khabib talked to Ferguson about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to drop Cristiano Ronaldo to the bench against Everton, to which the Scotsman replied: “I know, but you should always start with your best player.” Khabib has had a close relationship with Ronaldo for many years.

In 2021, he told Sky Sports that United's famous No.7 had told him about his desire to leave Real Madrid a few months before he left the Bernabeu, while he also claims to have known about his United return before it was announced.
