UFC's Khabib Nurmagomedov filmed copying Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration

Khabib Nurmagomedov is both a former UFC world champion and a massive Manchester United fan. Many supporters will remember his trip to Old Trafford last season where he was videoed talking to legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

In the video, Khabib talked to Ferguson about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to drop Cristiano Ronaldo to the bench against Everton, to which the Scotsman replied: “I know, but you should always start with your best player.”

Khabib has had a close relationship with Ronaldo for many years. In 2021, he told Sky Sports that United's famous No.7 had told him about his desire to leave Real Madrid a few months before he left the Bernabeu, while he also claims to have known about his United return before it was announced.

Khabib has now retired from UFC but has kept himself busy watching football. He also often posts videos on his Instagram of him playing football and was recently videoed paying homage to his good friend Ronaldo.

After scoring a goal, Khabib celebrated with Ronaldo's famous 'SIU' celebration, running away from the goal before leaping high, turning and shouting 'SIU'. The former UFC champion is not the first person to copy the celebration and he certainly won't be the last. In the game against Everton for which he was present, Andros Townsend pulled out the celebration as he scored the Toffees' equaliser.

It just goes to show the impact Ronaldo still has on the game. His celebration is copied by fans and fellow athletes all over the globe and this will likely continue long after he retires.
