Two Met Office weather warnings in force as powerful winds hit Wales with torrential rain following

Two weather warnings are in place for Wales. The first, for wind, covers the period from 9am on Sunday, September 29, until midnight.

There is an overlapping warning from 4pm on Sunday until 9am on Monday.The wind warning says strong winds may cause some disruption across southwest England and Wales on Sunday.

Winds will strengthen from west to east during Sunday, with gusts of 50-55 mph likely in places, especially near coasts and over/to the west of high ground, perhaps exceeding 60 mph in the most exposed areas.

It covers Bridgend; Cardiff; Carmarthenshire; Ceredigion; Conwy; Gwynedd; Isle of Anglesey; Neath Port Talbot; Pembrokeshire; Powys; Rhondda Cynon Taf; Swansea and Vale of Glamorgan.
