Amelia Woodgate scored a first-half hat-trick for Chatham Town Women before twin sister Madison completed her own treble in the same game.

The identical twins were signed by Chats in the summer and helped their side to a 12-0 win over Horsham on Sunday in the Women’s FA Cup, a result which sent them into the first-round proper of the competition.

Manager Keith Boanas - a Women’s FA Cup-winning manager and three-time finalist - was delighted for the teenage pair, who he hopes can have a big future in the game. “Amelia probably missed two or three more, so could have had six,” he admitted. “The game could have easily been 20 if we had taken all of our chances. “They're both immensely talented technically and they're both quite quick.

They were able to shine yesterday and it was a great confidence boost for them, I'm sure. “They have stepped up a level. It's about them developing now and moving up to levels where they want to aspire to be. “Technically, they could go all the way.
