Todd Cantwell insists Rangers can hold 'most successful club in the world' tag as he admits trophy room left him stunned

Todd Cantwell insists Michael Beale’s Ibrox squad will be out to defend Rangers’ claim to be the most successful club in the world at Hampden.

With 117 major trophies, the Light Blues reckon no one else can match their haul of silverware and have even installed murals making the boast both at Ibrox and the club’s training ground.

But Celtic’s decade of domination has allowed the Parkhead outfit to slash the advantage held by the Ibrox outfit. February’s Viaplay Cup triumph moved the Hoops on to 114 and set to soon become 115 with this year’s Premiership title all but in the bag.

Should Celtic dump Beale’s men out of the Scottish Cup it would put Celtic on course to move to within one of their rivals’ benchmark ahead of next season.
