Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim is on the cusp of being appointed as Manchester United's new manager. United, as reported by the Manchester Evening News on Wednesday, have agreed a deal with Sporting to lure the 39-year-old to Old Trafford and Amorim has admitted himself the deal could be signed, sealed and delivered by Friday evening.

The Portuguese chief is expected to take charge at Old Trafford during the November international break, meaning his first game at the helm is poised to be against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on November 24.
