Stuart Kettlewell has revealed Motherwell are using the international break to find a way to get their season back on track.

After last month’s 1-0 win at Hearts, the Steelmen were behind Premiership leaders Celtic only on goal difference. However, four successive defeats have seen them slide down to fifth and they now trail the champions by 12 points.

Next up is as trip to St Johnstone on Saturday and Kettlewell said: “This is a chance to top up guys who haven’t been playing.

We’ll throw in a bounce game but I’m not a complete slave driver – there has to be a little rest and recuperation. “I’ve married it up with the schedule from the last break because our levels have been excellent since we came back.
