Stuart Kettlewell toasted his trio of scoring subs for the stunning comeback that stopped the Steelmen’s rot and claimed a 3-3 draw with Ross County.
Motherwell were heading for a fifth Premiership defeat on the trot. But they stormed back from a two-goal deficit late on with the leveller coming deep into stoppage time from 17-year-old Luca Ross, making only a second brief league appearance for the club.
But the serious spark for the late mayhem in a manic second period was Arsenal loan man Mika Biereth. The Danish youth international striker’s determination and drive lifted Fir Park and all around him.
On his comeback from nine weeks out injured, Biereth hinted at being a huge player for Kettlewell – if he stays fit. The Fir Park gaffer said: “It basically descended into utter chaos, if I’m honest! “I was angry at the goals we conceded but the reaction from the players was pretty stunning.
