Amy Dowden has been flooded with praise and support from her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars and her fans as she told them she's 'one step closer' to the end of her cancer treatment.
The star has bravely been sharing her journey online after being given a stage three breast cancer diagnosis. Amy, who has been part of the hit BBC One dance show since 2017, had undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction after receiving the diagnosis after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones.
Following the operation, she was waiting for news of the next steps in her treatment and shared how she was dealt a "massive blow" when doctors found "more tumours" and another type of cancer which meant she needed chemotherapy and also that she won't be able to compete in the hit show this year.
