Storm Ashley live updates as flood warnings and alerts issued across Wales

The UK is bracing itself for the full force of Storm Ashley, with three flood warnings and 14 alerts already in place across Wales.

Parts of the country are expected to be battered by furious winds exceeding 80mph. By midday, the storm's path will lie directly over the northernmost parts of the UK.

Amber and yellow warnings for wind have been issued for Sunday.Met Office meteorologist Dan Stroud said "very strong, severe gales" on Sunday coincide with high spring tides, which could also result in "very large waves".
