St Mirren have announced plans to honour Queen Elizabeth before their clash with Celtic this weekend with a minute's applause.

Last weekend's fixtures were postponed as a mark of respect after Thursday's announcement that the Queen had died aged 96. A number of games down south scheduled for this weekend, including Chelsea vs Liverpool and Manchester United vs Leeds, have been subject to further postponements, but the SPFL announced that Scottish football will return to its normal running order after a weekend off.

Clubs up and down the country though have been invited to take part in various marks of respect, with a pre-match minute of silence, playing the national anthem and players wearing black armbands suggested as options.

And St Mirren, who will face Celtic on Sunday, have announced a minute of remembrance. Manager Stephen Robinson said: "I can only speak for us as a football club and myself.
