GREEN BAY, Wis. — Three weeks after he sprained the MCL in his left knee in the season opener, Jordan Love will return to his post as the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback.
League sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Love is expected to be active on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
Love missed two games, and the Packers (2-1) won them both with Malik Willis as the fill-in starter, beating the Indianapolis Colts in the Week 2 home opener and winning at the Tennessee Titans last week.
Love actually returned to practice the week of the Titans game and was close to returning last Sunday. He said after Wednesday's practice this week that his mobility had improved from the previous week. «Yeah, definitely,» Love said. «I feel like I'm getting better every day, moving around, getting out there practicing and feeling better.» His injury occurred in the final seconds of his first game since he signed a four-year, $220 million contract extension.
