There are a number of people at Liverpool who are ‘quite happy’ if they don’t conduct any more transfer business this summer, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs. Jurgen Klopp’s charges have already snapped up striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica in a club-record deal, while also adding full-back Calvin Ramsay and attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho from Aberdeen and Fulham, respectively.
Liverpool secured the signature of the highly-rated Nunez ahead of fierce rivals Manchester United in a transfer that could potentially rise to £85 million if he reaches certain milestones.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Ramsay joined the Anfield outfit for £6.5m following an outstanding breakout campaign with his boyhood club north of the border.
And Carvalho has also been added to Klopp’s ranks for a relatively modest fee of £5m as Fulham were entitled to compensation for their academy graduate despite him running his contract down.
