Former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh left the internet completely confused following a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter). “Nowadays, some ants are teaching bees how to make honey,” he wrote on his official account.

That was the only thing that the ex-cricketer wrote regarding the topic and in the absence of any context, the internet started to speculate regarding the topic of the post.

While some thought that it was related to another cricketer, there were many social media users who tried to find a political connection as it happened on the day of the Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir election results.

Earlier, Harbhajan recalled the post-match scenes after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a thrilling clash to reach the IPL 2024 playoffs.

Former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh has witnessed a transition in Indian cricket between 2011-2013 when stalwarts like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman retired with Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, current coach Gautam Gambhir and him being phased out. "Look age is a factor for some in this team but then Virat and Jaddu are extremely fit guys. Yes, age, fitness and form are criteria but the questions crop up once you start losing. The onus obviously comes on seniors in the team. It happened in that phase," he recalled. But he absolutely detests the theory that certain players can't be replaced.
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has raised doubts over Rohit Sharma's retention by Mumbai Indians ahead of the India Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction later this year. However, the spinner, who has won three IPL titles under Rohit's captaincy for Mumbai, feels that the opening batter will be retained after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. Other than Rohit, the veteran cricketer believes captain Hardik Pandya, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, batter Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma will be retained by the franchise to keep their core group intact before the mega auction.
A new look Gujarat Giants are keen to return to pick up a series of wins as they look to build some momentum in PKL Season 11. The Gujarat Giants, who are captained by Neeraj Kumar and coached by Ram Mehar Singh, have their task cut out in the coming weeks. Speaking about the Gujarat Giants' performance and the way forward, coach Ram Mehar Singh, said, "Our defence has made a few mistakes here and there in the last game, which has affected the result, but we are confident that our raiding department, and even our defence is quite strong. The defensive unit and the attackers have made mistakes, but it is okay. We will work hard in the coming games to ensure that we don't make mistakes."
VVS Laxman will be the head coach of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, according to a report by Cricbuzz. The former India batter was appointed the interim head coach as Gautam Gambhir will be travelling to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India will take on South Africa in four T20Is which will be played in Durban, Gqeberha, Centurion and Johannesburg on November 8, 10, 13 and 15 respectively. While the team for South Africa will depart around November 3, the team for Australia is expected to leave by November 10-11.
India's star batters have lost a lot of confidence over the years by playing on rank turners, with their home averages taking a beating and affecting their careers adversely, feels former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan said Ajinkya Rahane is a case in point after India lost their first Test series in 12 years. On a Pune turner against New Zealand, India lost a crucial toss and managed only 156 and 245 with the Black Caps' lead spinner Mitchell Santner taking 13 wickets. "If you have had great record at home for so long and if you lose, obviously there will be chatter. Credit to New Zealand for playing the way they did and these were alien conditions and also not a pitch where wear and tear was natural.
