Boss Ryan Maxwell paid tribute to Sittingbourne’s award winners following the club’s presentation evening. Midfielder Matt Warren was named both manager’s player and players’ player-of-the-year, while defender Donvieve Jones picked up the supporters’ award and the golden boot after scoring 12 goals.

The evening went ahead as planned at Woodstock on Saturday despite the postponement of the final home game of the season against Burgess Hill due to a waterlogged pitch.

Bourne won the rearranged fixture 4-0 last night thanks to goals from Correy Davidson, Chaynie Burgin, Dwade James and Mitchell May, extending their unbeaten run to 12 games.

They end the Isthmian South East campaign at Lancing on Saturday (3pm), looking for a top-10 finish. Warren was made captain by former boss Nick Davis before Christmas but lost the armband after Maxwell came in and signed Joe Ellul from Maidstone.
