Bernardo Silva says he is “happy” at Manchester City but insists he has “no idea what’s going to happen” amidst Barcelona’s interest in him.
The La Liga giants have signed Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde so far this summer but club president Joan Laporta sees Silva as the final piece of the puzzle.
Barcelona have been able to conduct some crazy business this summer amid their uncertain financial situation. It is believed that City would not stand in Silva’s way if he says he wants to leave, though the Premier League champions are expected to want around £68million for the Portuguese playmaker.
Their willingness to let unsettled players leave is something that has been a theme of recent transfer windows. This summer, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko joined Arsenal and Raheem Sterling joined Chelsea, while Ferran Torres moved to Barcelona in January.
