'Set to sign...' - Fabrizio Romano now shares Wolves exit news; player has 'already accepted'

Italian football journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now shared some significant Wolves transfer news involving Fabio Silva. Silva has certainly not lived up to the hype since his club-record £35m move from FC Porto back in 2020.

In 62 games over all competitions across the last two seasons, the striker has only managed a mere four goals and six assists (Transfermarkt), and so could benefit from a temporary move away from Molineux next term in order to try and find his feet.

Taking to Twitter, Romano has now shared some transfer news that was first reported by journalist Pedro Sepulveda, in that Silva is now ‘set to sign’ for Belgian side Anderlecht on loan for the next campaign, where they will pay his full wages, adding that Silva has ‘already accepted’ his destination: “Anderlecht are set to sign Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.

Belgian club will pay full salary until June 2023, as @pedromsepulveda reports. Fabio Silva has already accepted the destination, waiting for the deal to be completed.” Silva needs to go out on loan to try and recapture some of the form and hype that saw him play 21 times for Porto before the age of 18, scoring three goals and supplying two assists (Transfermarkt).
