Sergio Aguero names Lionel Messi’s next club amid Inter Miami transfer rumours

Lionel Messi is 'seriously considering' a return to his boyhood club at the end of the season, with a move to Newell's Old Boys in Argentina when his contract expires with PSG in the summer.

This has been revealed by Messi's friend and former teammate, Sergio Aguero, with the ex-Manchester City striker saying that Messi will reject a move to the MLS or Inter Miami in favour of a sentimental return to Rosario.

Messi had been thought to be likely to move to Miami to play for David Beckham's franchise or even make a return to Barcelona.

However, a return to the Argentine side would even further cement his status as a legend in his home country, with his key role in Argentina's 2022 World Cup win marking him out as a national icon.
