Scott McTominay makes Manchester United dressing room claim after 'toxic' issues

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

Scott McTominay insists the Manchester United dressing room is no longer a "toxic" place, after admitting there had been unrest among players under previous managers at Old Trafford.

Pressure is beginning to build on Erik ten Hag after a run of 11 wins and 11 defeats from the club's first 23 games of the season and United face a do-or-die European night against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Ten Hag is already approaching a crucial juncture in his own tenure and the pressure is beginning to increase after Saturday's historic humbling at the hands of Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

Previous managers before the Dutchman have embarked on a similar run of results and paid the price, with Jose Mourinho sacked in December 2018 and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fired in November 2021.
