Dundee are set to sign Scott Fraser. The Dark Blues are closing in on a deal for Tony Docherty’s long-term target. The 29-year-old, who is set to sign a deal for the season, is a free agent after he terminated his contract with Charlton on transfer deadline day.

Fraser has interest from England, Europe and Australia but his preference is a return to Scotland. Record Sport broke the story of Dundee’s interest in Fraser back in July.

Docherty has been chasing him since and looks set to win the fight. Fraser came through the ranks at Dundee United but is now about to return across the road.

The midfielder had a spell on loan at Hearts last season. Fraser has had spells at Ipswich, MK Dons, Burton and Charlton. Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.
