San Diego Open: Iga Świątek makes hilarious complaint about the weather

Tennis star Iga Świątek made a hilarious complaint about the weather in California after reaching the quarter-finals at the San Diego Open.

The world number one won her 61st match of the year as she defeated China’s Zheng Qinwen 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. She booked a place in the quarter-finals of the WTA 500 event, lining up a blockbuster clash against US star Coco Gauff.

Despite her resilient performance against Zheng, Świątek was left less than impressed by the weather conditions during the match.

Świątek’s match against Zheng was interrupted by rain on a number of occasions, giving it a stop-start feel. Both players were shown shivering as they wrapped themselves in towels while waiting for the rain to stop.
