Aberdeen have agreed a fee for Ross McCrorie that could eventually cost Bristol City £3 million. The Dons have thrashed out an initial payment with the English Championship side over just over £2 million along with future add-ons and a sell-on for their vice-captain.
The 25-year-old has now been given permission to open talks with the Robins and will head south for his medical at the start of next week.
If that goes to plan then his move to Ashton Gate is likely to be confirmed next week. The talks have been going on for several weeks and City have now beaten off stiff competition from several Championship rivals.
Aberdeen boss Barry Robson has already brought in Nicky Devlin from Livingston, who will fill the right-back void left from McCrorie’s pending move.
