Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has called for the Premier League to hold a north vs south all-star match, similar to what the MLB and NBA do in America. “MLB did their all star game this year.

They made $200m from a Monday and a Tuesday, you could do a North vs South all-star game from the Premier League to fund the pyramid very easily,” he said, per the Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella.

Boehly isn’t the first person to make such a suggestion. Romelu Lukaku did the same back in 2018. He wrote on Twitter: “Here’s an idea for you guys… the Nba has all-star game!

Don’t you guys think we should organise one in the Premier League… The north vs the south! And the fans vote… what do you guys think?” But how would the teams look if the match was to take place today?
