Ronaldo, Salah, Haaland: Premier League all-star teams imagined

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has called for the Premier League to hold a north vs south all-star match, similar to what the MLB and NBA do in America.

“MLB did their all star game this year. They made $200m from a Monday and a Tuesday, you could do a North vs South all-star game from the Premier League to fund the pyramid very easily,” he said, per the Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella.

Boehly isn’t the first person to make such a suggestion.

Romelu Lukaku did the same back in 2018.

He wrote on Twitter: “Here’s an idea for you guys… the Nba has all-star game! Don’t you guys think we should organise one in the Premier League… The north vs the south! And the fans vote… what do you guys think?”
