Robert Snodgrass facing Motherwell transfer decision as Stevie Hammell makes his case to free agent

dailyrecord.co.uk

Robert Snodgrass is weighing up a return to Scottish football with Motherwell. The ex-Scotland star has been in talks over a Fir Park deal and wants to make a decision on his future by the weekend.

A free agent since leaving Luton at the end of last season, Snodgrass has interest from clubs in the Championship and League One in England.

But Stevie Hammell’s side are in serious contention for the 34-year-old’s signature. Hammell wants to bolster his squad with experience and quality.

The 34-year-old has been capped 28 times by Scotland and fits the bill perfectly of the new Fir Park boss. Discussions are ongoing over the length of contract, which could be until January or the end of the season with Snodgrass keen to strike a deal soon to resume his high-class career.
