Robert Snodgrass is nearing a return to Scottish football with a deal to Hearts edging closer for the free agent. The Scotland cap has been without a club since leaving Luton at the end of last season.
The Hatters offered a deal but Snodgrass turned that down in favour of a new challenge. The versatile midfielder had interest from clubs in the Championship and League One in England, while Motherwell have also openly been pursuing a deal to bring the veteran to Fir Park.
However, the 34-year-old appears set to opt for a move to the Steelmen's Scottish Premiership rivals and pen a deal at Tynecastle.
A move to Gorgie is imminent following talks with Robbie Neilson and sporting director Joe Savage in recent days. Should the deal go through Snodgrass would bring a wealth of experience to the Jambos, who are looking to recover from back to back defeats.
