Rio Ferdinand has praised Scott McTominay's "attitude and application" after the midfielder came off the bench to score twice in Manchester United's 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday.
McTominay was the hero at Old Trafford as United picked up a vital three points in dramatic fashion. Erik ten Hag's side were 1-0 down going into added time, but a swift brace from the Scotland international turned the scoreline on its head.
Regular football has been hard to come by for McTominay this season, who has fallen further down the pecking order following the arrivals of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat.
But the 26-year-old remains committed to United and Ferdinand insists he epitomises the spirit of the club.
