Rio Ferdinand gives verdict on Jadon Sancho's Manchester United future ahead of transfer window

Former centre-back Rio Ferdinand believes the only way that Jadon Sancho could leave Manchester United this summer is by heading out on loan.

The winger, who turned 23 earlier this year, has struggled to make his mark at Old Trafford since joining the Reds from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021.

He has scored just 11 goals and grabbed five assists in 75 appearances, meaning he is yet to live up to his £72.9million price tag.

Former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pinpointed the former Manchester City youngster as the club's answer to their long-term right-wing problems.
