FC Copenhagen midfielder Rasmus Falk says he is surprised Rasmus Hojlund moved to Manchester United. The Danish forward began his professional career at Copenhagen, scoring five goals in 32 appearances for the club.
In January 2022, Hojlund moved to Austrian side Sturm Graz. The switch kickstarted his career and by August he had earned a move to Atalanta.
His form in Italy, coupled with his appearances for the Danish national team, were enough for Erik ten Hag to agree a £72m transfer fee for the striker this summer.
While his rise has been stratospheric, Falk admitted it had caught him by surprise considering how his time in his homeland went.
