Supporters are excited to see Casemiro reunited with his ex-Real Madrid teammates Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester United agreed to sign the Brazil international.

Casemiro, 30, is the fourth signing made by Erik ten Hag during his much-needed rebuild. After the Dutchman was sworn in from Ajax this summer, United struck up deals for Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez with other targets still on the radar.

However, while the Old Trafford outfit did want to recruit in other areas, their priority was always central midfield and they appear to have got their man.

United initially wanted Declan Rice and subsequently turned their attention to Frenkie de Jong when Ten Hag was appointed as manager.
