Raphael Varane has shared his first impression on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag - before stressing that everyone at Old Trafford is ready to work hard and embrace new methods.

Ten Hag forged his reputation as one of the leading coaches in Europe with Ajax - winning three Eredivisie titles in four-and-a-half years.

He was summoned by United this summer to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has also been tasked with recapturing former glories.

As part of a wider shake-up behind the scenes, United have signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Ajax starlet Lisandro Martinez with sights set on further recruits.
