Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen clashes are what you dream of, says Motherwell's Joe Efford

Joe Efford says a triple-header that sees Motherwell host Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen in a week is the stuff that dreams are made of.

The American winger is keen to test himself when Giovanni van Bronckhorst brings his side - still smarting from last night's 7-1 annihilation by Liverpool in the Champions League - to Fir Park for a lunchtime kick-off on Sunday, with Celtic arriving in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.

That seven-day period also sees Aberdeen make the trip south to Lanarkshire on October 22, which will see VAR used for the first time in a game involving the Steelmen.

Efford, 26, says those are the games he relishes pitting himself up against and is looking forward to a tough run. But Efford admits he hoped Motherwell would take something from their clash at Hibs into those games, rather than a 1-0 defeat.
