Stuart Pearce has insisted Harry Maguire would be a fantastic signing for any Premier League club despite his struggles at Manchester United.
The English defender is now fourth choice centre-back at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order. Erik ten Hag stripped him of the captaincy over the summer and gave the armband to Bruno Fernandes but is happy for Maguire to stay and fight for his place.
West Ham United are the only club known to have launched a bid for services. That was a £20million offer that was rejected by United.
Pearce believes the criticism of Maguire has been harsh, given his reliability for England and his professionalism. He thinks that the 30-year-old would be a fantastic pick-up for any top-flight club.
