Police scrambled after reports of stabbing outside row of shops

A row of shops and takeaways in Whitefield was cordoned off by police following a reported stabbing. Officers were called to reports of a section 18 assault on Albert Road, off Ribble Drive, last Thursday evening (March 23).

The Manchester Evening News understands that at least one person was stabbed in the incident. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said no-one was seriously injured.
