Piers Morgan criticises Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag yet again with Cristiano Ronaldo point

Piers Morgan has continued to criticise Erik ten Hag and has insisted Manchester United should have kept Cristiano Ronaldo after the Reds were hammered 3-0 by Manchester City.

Erling Haaland grabbed a brace to put the match out of United's reach before Phil Foden added gloss to the scoreline by converting the Norwegian talisman's cross for the third.

In truth, the Reds were second best throughout and Ten Hag cut a disappointed figure at full-time. Not wishing to miss an opportunity to stick the boot in, Morgan, who has continually criticised Ten Hag after his fallout with Ronaldo last year, slammed the United boss on social media.

Taking to X, he posted: "As Manchester United get humiliated by City at home, a reminder that Erik ten Hag drove Cristiano Ronaldo out of the club and said he’d lose no sleep over it… READ MORE: Elanga opens up on learning from Ronaldo READ MORE: The Ronaldo inspired decision that has transformed Spurs "And, the same Cristiano Ronaldo has since scored 43 goals for club and country this year.
