Rasmus Hojlund cannot stop scoring for Manchester United in Europe yet, when it comes to the Premier League, the Denmark prospect has still to lace up his shooting boots at all.

It was always going to be difficult for Hojlund to hit the ground running after his £72million transfer from Atalanta this summer, even without the outside pressures that were placed upon his young, broad shoulders.

He was sworn in to replace none other than Cristiano Ronaldo and signed after a short-lived pursuit for Harry Kane. The reality is United never really went anywhere with their interest in the England captain and had they firmed up their momentary plans to sign him, Tottenham might not have done business anyway.
