Pep Guardiola would demand a replacement for Stefan Ortega if Manchester City allow him to join Bayern Munich. Bayern are reportedly showing strong interest in City's No.2 as Thomas Tuchel looks to finalise his squad for next season with Manuel Neuer still injured.
Ortega suffered relegation from the Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld in 2022 before joining City on a free transfer, but could be offered a return to the league with the German champions.
Guardiola could not rule out such a move if the clubs can agree a fee and the player wants to move, but made clear his desire to keep him.
