Pep Guardiola says he preferred Jack Grealish's qualities for Manchester City rather than Jeremy Doku against Manchester United, as he went for experience over youth in the derby.
City travel to United looking to open up a nine-point gap between the sides after just ten games. City dominated the first derby of last season, winning 6-3 at the Etihad, but were beaten 2-1 in controversial circumstances at Old Trafford - before beating United at Wembley in the FA Cup final on their way to their historic treble.
For the first meeting between the sides this term, Guardiola made several changes and justified his decision to recall Grealish by saying: "We need Jack." He told Sky: "I wake up and say I think [this]. Different styles, both are so important. We need Jack back, plays so good. Lots of pace in Switzerland.
