Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves says Marcus Rashford has the capabilities to become the future captain of the club - but Paul Scholes is not so sure.

The attacker is the Reds’ top scorer this season and is enjoying the best goalscoring season of his career. Rashford fronted up to the media ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Real Betis following the 7-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

He called the suggestion that United players had given up at Anfield “nonsense” and hit back at critics with a goal within six minutes against Betis at Old Trafford.
