Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has revealed that he and Roy Keane would not have put up with Cristiano Ronaldo's behaviour while they were at the club.

Ronaldo was left out of Erik ten Hag's starting XI that beat Liverpool 2-1 on Monday night as the 37-year-old made a brief cameo at Old Trafford.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner came on in the 86th minute for goalscorer Marcus Rashford as United held on for their first Premier League victory of the season.

It was an inspired performance from an energetic United side that hardly gave Liverpool a minute to catch their breath. Jadon Sancho put the Reds ahead after 16 minutes as he composed himself to calmly slot the ball past Alisson in Liverpool's goal.
