Patrick Vieira believes the physicality of Manchester City has been a decisive difference between them and Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

City took a massive step towards securing a third straight league title on Sunday, beating Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park before seeing Arsenal lose at home to Brighton by the same scoreline.

Ilkay Gundogan starred for the Blues, scoring two wonderful goals and in between assisting Erling Haaland. Pep Guardiola's side were four points clear at the top as Arsenal kicked off at home to the Seagulls, who put in a dominant display at the Emirates to all but end the Gunners' title hopes.

Mikel Arteta's side are now four points short with only six to play for, knowing defeat next weekend at Nottingham Forest would see the title remain at the Etihad. "What they (Arsenal) are missing is this physical presence," he said. "This kind of leadership where people can get at the back of players when they are not performing at the level that Arsenal expect. "For me, they will have to build a team with more personality and more competitiveness.
