Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has claimed that Luke Shaw and Casemiro have helped Reds boss Erik ten Hag "get back in control" following the derby defeat to Manchester City.

The Reds have responded well to the loss at the Etihad earlier this month, with Ten Hag's men securing victories over Everton in the Premier League and Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed his 700th club goal during the 2-1 win over the Toffees last weekend after Antony had levelled proceedings in the first period.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay came off the bench to score a crucial winner for United in added time in midweek.
