AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen has reportedly emerged as a contender for the Celtic job. The Parkhead side are on the lookout for the man to replace Ange Postecoglou with Enzo Maresca and Brendan Rodgers the current frontrunners.

At this early stage though there are plenty of names in the fray, with Kjetil Knutsen and Graham Potter the popular options among fans while Mumbai City boss Des Buckingham has made recent moves in the betting. Record Sport also revealed earlier this week Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is also in Parkhead powerbrokers’ thoughts.

Jansen is the latest name to emerge as a serious contender. The 50-year-old has only been a senior top coach since 2020 since leaving the PSV B side for AZ but has thoroughly impressed, finishing fourth in the Eredivisie last season and making the Conference League semi-finals, narrowly losing out to West Ham.

Now the Scottish Sun say he is on Celtic's growing list of candidates. It's claimed PSV and Ajax are also keen on naming him as their next boss.
