Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is backing Antony to slot straight into Erik ten Hag's plans at Old Trafford, insisting that United's supporters are going to "love" him.

United, after announcing that they had reached an agreement with Ajax to secure his signature on Tuesday, officially completed the signing of the 22-year-old on Thursday morning.

He has joined the club on a five-year contract in a deal worth £85.1million. The Brazilian, who worked with Ten Hag at Ajax, was a leading target for United throughout the summer, as they aimed to strengthen their attacking options.
