John Souttar has urged Rangers fans to be patient with Oscar Cortes, pointing to Ridvan Yilmaz as a prime example of how settling can be a struggle.
The 20-year-old Colombian winger has shown flashes of his ability in Light Blue since arriving on loan from Lens until the end of the season.
The Ibrox club have an option to make the move permanent in the summer, with a four-and-a-half year contract the reported reward on offer for Cortes if he impresses sufficiently.
Souttar has been impressed by the new arrival, but has warned fans not to expect fireworks right away. Left back Yilmaz has had just over 18 months ion Govan since a £5million switch from Besiktas.
