As the war in the Middle East enters a new dangerous phase, the EU held its first ever EU-Gulf Cooperation Council.

You're here for the first ever EU Gulf Cooperation Summit. Lots of things on the agenda security, global warming and so on. But I want to start off in the Middle East, because we are at a very dangerous moment.

We're seeing constant attacks by Hezbollah and Iran against Israel. We're seeing immeasurable suffering in Gaza and also in Lebanon.
